Goodbye Jimmy’s.
Last night we bid farewell to J’s P. It was a glorious event worthy of a little note on the bloggie blog. It all started with a small group of friends. Then it became something much more. If a bar could be an institution, it would be.
I am close to feeling like a real human being again. (an hour and a half into my workday)Walking into a place that is so insanely busy is weird, but when it is Jimmy’s it is even weirder. We had to park in the lot next door.
There were all of the regulars that you would expect to see. Then there were others, like the darling little stripper girls. It was said that the place had to be breaking a fire code, since it was so packed. I commented that if the place went up in flames that we would all be screwed, since a cloud of herpes would certainly be looming.
I will give it to the blonde. Her stringy bleached hair was about as thin as her arms. She looked like she hadn’t eaten a real meal in weeks. To top it off, whatever she had eaten definitely was forcefully discarded from her system. Poor girl! I wish she would take just a few of those dollar bills and get something from a fast food dollar menu.
Anyways.
The hockey team showed up and shared their national championship trophy with everyone. It was nice of them. They are much better than the guys from the Lou and Harry’s fiasco a few years ago. Congrats again to them!
Hopefully the J’s P email list will be utilized for happy reunions in the meantime.
